DeForest “Boo” Pearson :: Vocals & Percussion (b.
Middletown, CT) Boo was a founding member of the Loose Caboose band and
participant
in
the
recording
of “Dealer’s World” (1981)
with Geoffrey Chung and Clive Hunt at Dynamic Studios in Kingston, JA.
Boo has been a member of the Equalites since late 1987, and contributed
as a songwriter to the Equalites first album, “Choice of Worlds” (1991).
Boo is a principal accompanist in the West African Dance Program of
the Five College Community Inc. of Amherst, MA. under the direction of
Sekou
Sylla. He is also a percussionist with the Niahbinghi Boppa choir and
Negril West Recording Studio of Jamaica.
Boo studied traditional Haitian drumming in Port –Au-Prince,
Haiti with Peniel Guerriere, artistic director of the Dance Company Tamboula
D’Haiti.
