David
Boatwright :: Vocals & Guitar (b. New Haven, CT) David was
born to classical musician parents. He spent his early years singing
in his
church
choir,
practicing
guitar and piano, listening to r&b and rock and roll, and playing
in bands that typified the emerging sounds.
He was a founding member and contributing
songwriter of the Loose Caboose reggae band, a group who’s success
pinnacled with the release of “Dealer’s World’”,
recorded in Kingston Jamaica with the initial guidance of Bob Marley. He
has released a solo project (“Crossover”, 1987) and has contributed
as a song collaborator, singer, and lead rhythm guitarist to many bands
recorded and live works. In 1988 he joined the Equalites.
David contributed
the bulk of the written material to the two Equalites albums “Choice
of Worlds” (1991) and “Out at the Inn”(1999).
